CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) - Panthers coach Ron Rivera says he isn't sure if Greg Hardy will play Sunday night against the Pittsburgh Steelers and that the team hasn't considered releasing the Pro Bowl defensive end who's involved in a domestic violence case. Rivera says Hardy will continue to practice and attend team meetings.

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (AP) - It's hard for North Carolina coach Larry Fedora to know exactly what kind of defense he has. On one hand, the Tar Heels have been among the nation's best at forcing turnovers through their first two games. On the other, they missed way too many tackles in their last outing.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) - The Charlotte 49ers announced that men's basketball coach Alan Major has returned to work following a medical leave of absence. Major took a leave of absence in May to have surgery on his heart and both eyes.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) - Clemson hasn't forgotten the debacle that took place against Florida State on its home turf last season. The Tigers were ranked No. 3 in the nation and the No. 5 Seminoles went to Death Valley and handed Clemson its worst home loss since the series began in 1970.
