Fayetteville, AK -- (Sports Network) - Patrick Beverley scored 27 points to lead the Arkansas Razorbacks to a 77-64 victory over the Auburn Tigers in SEC action. Beverley shot 9-of-11 from the floor, including 6-of-6 from three-point range, for Arkansas (20-10, 9-7 SEC). Darian Townes pitched in 12 points and 14 rebounds for the Razorbacks, and Charles Thomas had 10 points off the bench. Frank Tolbert racked up 17 points in the loss for Auburn (14-15, 4-12). Rasheem Barrett netted 13 points for the Tigers, and Quantez Robertson contributed 12 points. Beverley didn't miss a shot in the first half, as his 14 points powered Arkansas to a 45-26 lead at intermission. The Razorbacks held on for the victory despite surrendering 56 percent shooting from the field to Auburn in the second half. John Pelphrey's 20 wins are the most ever by a first-year Arkansas coach. A 39-26 rebounding advantage played a major role in the victory for the Razorbacks.
