POSTED: 9:28 pm EST November 24, 2007

(Sports Network) - Greg Little ran for a career-high 154 yards and scored two touchdowns as the North Carolina Tar Heels defeated the Duke Blue Devils in an exciting ACC matchup at Kenan Memorial Stadium.

Signal-caller T. J. Yates had a rather lackluster performance despite the North Carolina (4-8, 3-5 ACC) victory, completing 11-of-24 passes for just 75 yards and one touchdown against two interceptions.

Thaddeus Lewis passed for 219 yards with a pair of touchdown tosses for the Blue Devils (1-11, 0-8). Jomar Wright was his favorite target, catching eight balls for 91 yards and two scores.

Yates hit Brandon Tate with a nine-yard toss to cap a six-play, 55-yard opening drive as the Tar Heels jumped out to an early 7-0 lead.

Duke responded midway through the period with a 25-yard strike from Lewis to Wright.

After neither team was able to score in the second or third quarter, the Blue Devils took a 14-7 lead early in the fourth frame as Lewis found Wright once more with a four-yard throw.

Little tied the contest midway through the frame with a seven-yard run that forced overtime.

In the extra period, Little broke free for a 25-yard scamper that proved to be the difference, giving the Tar Heels a 20-14 victory.
