Atlanta, GA -- (Sports Network) - Jaybo Shaw threw for 230 yards and one touchdown as the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets pummeled the Duke Blue Devils, 27-0, in an ACC showdown at the Bobby Dodd Stadium.

Shaw, who was making his first start of the season, also scored one touchdown on the ground for Georgia Tech (4-1, 2-1 ACC), but it Jonathan Dwyer who led the rushing attack with 159 yards on just 23 totes.

As for Duke (3-2, 1-1), quarterback Thaddeus Lewis struggled in the setback, completing just 15-of-28 passes for 97 yards, and also tossed an interception for the Blue Devils.

After a scoreless first quarter the Yellow Jackets took a 3-0 lead midway through the second stanza with a 20-yard field goal by Scott Blair.

Georgia Tech extended its lead to 10-0 with a four-yard touchdown run by Roddy Jones late in the third frame.

The Yellow Jackets pulled away in the final stanza, as Shaw scored on a two- yard run seconds in the quarter, then the quarterback connected with Demaryius Thomas for an 88-yard scoring strike.

In the final seconds of the fourth quarter, the Yellow Jackets added a 26-yard field goal from Blair, pushing their advantage to 27-0.

Georgia Tech's defense was sensational, limiting Duke to just nine first downs and 132 total yards.

It was the 17th straight ACC road setback for the Blue Devils, and it was also the first time Duke was shutout since losing to Richmond 13-0 back in 2006.
