Florida State
2007 SEASON IN REVIEW: For the second straight season, Florida State finished the year at 7-6. A 4-4 record in the ACC's Atlantic Division was good for just fourth place. The season didn't start off on a high note, as Bobby Bowden and his troops dropped the opener at Clemson (24-18) against son Tommy and the Tigers. The team did recover however, with four consecutive victories, but faltered in back-to-back conference tilts to Wake Forest (24-21) and Miami (37-29). A pair of league wins over Duke (25-6) and Boston College (27-17) brought the team back to .500 in-conference at 3-3, where they would stay following a split with Virginia Tech (40-21 loss) and Maryland (24-16 victory). The always anticipated showdown with instate rival Florida proved to be no contest, as the 'Noles were routed by the Gators in the regular-season finale (45-12). Still, the team earned its 26th consecutive bowl bid, albeit a loss to Kentucky in the Music City Bowl (35-28).
