Margaret Burnquist

The Morning News Co-Anchor From 7-9 A.M.

Margaret Burnquist is the co-anchor of Cody Alcorn on The Morning News weekdays from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m.

Margaret grew up in Kansas City, Mo., and went to school at Missouri State University, where she graduated with a degree in journalism.

Before coming to FOX Carolina, Margaret anchored the nightly newscasts at KSPR-TV in Springfield, Mo., where she got her start as an intern.

In 2007, Margaret joined FOX Carolina as a weekend news anchor and weekday reporter. She was moved to The Morning News in January 2010.

Margaret has had the opportunity to meet U.S. presidents, celebrities and cover some amazing stories. She was the first journalist to tour an ice age cave in Missouri that was discovered by some road crews blasting for a highway. She has also covered Kansas City Chiefs games from the sidelines. She will never forget her day at a nudist resort in South Carolina for a story that aired on FOX Carolina.
