Dan Bubany is the co-anchor of FOX Carolina’s The Morning News, which airs weekdays from 5 a.m. to 9 a.m.

Dan grew up in Tucson, Ariz., and went to school at Arizona State University, where he graduated with a degree in broadcast journalism in 2002.

Dan worked as the sports director at KPLC-TV, the NBC affiliate in Lake Charles, La., after he graduated. He then moved to Greenville in the summer of 2005 to join FOX Carolina as a sports reporter and anchor. He was promoted to sports director in the summer of 2006.

After a two year stint in the sports department, Dan decided to make the transition to the news department and became a co-anchor on The Morning News in August 2008.

On the weekends, I love to: play golf, run, and hang out with friends

My favorite movie: Amelie. It's a French comedy.

My favorite kind of music is: Anything and everything. If you're a talented musician, I probably like you.

My favorite food is: Ice cream, cereal, sandwiches, and sunflower seeds (still in the shell).

Hidden talents: I'm good at funny accents, and I'm fluent in Spanish.

Hobbies: I love to play golf.

Most memorable story: When I was in Lake Charles, I did a story about a high school football team that would schedule it's practices around the rice harvest. Rice was the cash crop in Basile, Louisiana, (pronounced Baa-zeel) and the harvesting season coincided with the start of fall camp. Players there would practice in the afternoon so they could work the rice fields in the morning and sometimes in the evening. The whole town got into it too. A lot of the players had parents and grandparents who had worked in the rice fields and played football at Basile High.
