GAFFNEY, S.C. -- Police said they are trying to figure out who broke into Gaffney Middle School on Monday and vandalized the building.

Police said the vandals struck the wood shop at the school.

Police said they found paint poured on the floor. They said the vandals also threw some miscellaneous wood items into the toilet and destroyed others. They said some curse words were also painted on the walls, doors and tables.

Investigators said the screen on two computers and television were broken out, as well.

Police estimated the damage at around $800.
