JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- An election threat scribbled on the bathroom wall of a Florida high school promises violence if Sen. Barack Obama is elected president. The message said "If Obama is elected as president, the new KKK is going to blow up the school," reported WJXT-TV in Jacksonville, Fla.The threat has some parents very upset."I take it seriously, especially with the high school right here with all the kids it's just going to be chaos," said parent Sherry Hyatt.According to police documents, a teacher reported the threat after finding it written in a bathroom at First Coast High School.Hyatt said the disturbing message is just the most recent in a string of problems at First Coast. She said she has decided pull her son out of the school.Nichelle Maddox said she wishes the words scribbled on the school's wall weren't there or on her son's mind."I want him to come to school to get an education, but it's just sad that we have to go through these type of things and worry about these types of things when they're trying to get their education," Maddox said.As Jacksonville police investigate whether the message is a legitimate threat, Maddox said she's staying faithful and hoping the words were only meant to scare people."You've just got evil people in this world and it's not going to change. It's always only going to be there. Like I said, all you can do is pray about it and try to live your life and go on," Maddox said.A school board spokeswoman said they take the safety of its students seriously, but she said the school board doesn't believe students are in danger. The school board is cooperating with the sheriff's office's investigation.
