POSTED: 10:11 am EST December 10, 2007

The Los Angeles Film Critics Association has picked the oil-boom drama "There Will Be Blood" as its top film for 2007, the group announced Sunday.

The film's star and director, Daniel Day-Lewis and Paul Thomas Anderson won Best Actor and Best Director honors, respectively.

Marion Cotillard was tapped for Best Actress for "La Vie En Rose."

The Best Supporting Actor and Actress trophies went to Vlad Ivanov for "4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days" and Amy Ryan for "Gone Baby Gone," respectively.

Tamara Jenkins won the group's award for Best Screenplay for "The Savages."

The film award season kicked off with the National Board of Motion Pictures last week, which named the Coen brothers' crime thriller "No Country for Old Men" Best Picture of 2007.

Awards and nominations coming this week include the New York Film Critics Circle honors, the Broadcast Film Critics Associations Critics' Choice Awards nominations and the Hollywood Foreign Press Association's Golden Globe nominations.
