One of the iconic gloves that pop icon Michael Jackson wore on the Jackson's 1984 "Victory" tour is going on the auction block.

Auction house Profiles in History announced Wednesday that the glove, emblazoned with bugle beads and Austrian crystal rhinestones and fitted with 50 small lights, is among the several items it will auction Oct. 2 through Oct. 3.

The glove, powered by a single 9 volt battery placed in the cuff, was designed by the namesake of Ted Shell Designs.

According to Profiles in History, it is only one of two of the illuminating gloves used on the tour.

The auction house said Jackson gifted the glove to Shell in 1986. Profiles in History said that auction piece is accompanied with a signed letter of authenticity by Shell, as well as a signed letter by Judie Mallen of L.A. Marquee Special Lighting Effects Mallen installed the lights in the glove for the tour.

Jackson died last week at the age of 50. His death is still being investigated.

"Michael Jackson was the undisputed King of Pop. This glove, used at the zenith of his career, is the most symbolic piece of his on-stage legacy, as he will always be remembered as the 'Gloved One' -- one of the greatest cultural icons of the 20th century," said Joe Maddalena, president of Profiles in History, in a statement. "This glove is the ultimate piece of Jackson's performance memorabilia in the world. It is truly priceless."

The auction house said that it intends to display the glove at its booth at Comic Con so fans will have to chance to see it up close.
