Digital Mammography We are fortunate to offer our patients and anyone in the area a chance to get their mammogram in our office with the new addition of the Bearden Josey Center for Breast Health. The difference between a traditional and digital mammogram is that with the digital, we are able to capture the images digitally and view them on a computer screen. On the digital screen, the radiologist is able to manipulate the image such as zooming in on the image and changing the contrast to make it darker or lighter.
The images can also be printed out or put on a disk. Digital imaging has also been found to be better for women with dense breast tissue.
Robotic Surgery The Robotic Surgery Center of the Carolinas is a division of Spartanburg & Pelham OB-GYN that was established by Drs. Bang and Hoang Giep. Robotic surgery, such as hysterectomies and the removal of fibroids, usually result in less pain, overnight hospital stay, and fewer complications than traditional surgery.
Women also enjoy a faster return to normal daily activities, sometimes returning to work in as few as two weeks after a hysterectomy.
Our doctors were the first to perform robotic gynecologic surgery in South Carolina and are some of the most experienced in the country.
There are only 15 surgeons across the country who have been selected to

4D UltrasoundsA 3D ultrasound is performed for gynecological patients and is a computer generated image. A 4D ultrasound is performed if you are pregnant and request to see the baby's face.
