HENDERSONVILLEPepsi is sponsoring Henderson County’s Independence Day festivities at Jackson Park July 4.Here is a run-down of the events planned:Entertainment: Children’s Area Inflatable’s 4:30 – 9 p.m.Food Vendors: Shelter #1 Parking LotRegional One Medical Helicopter: Medical flight team will land the helicopter in Jackson Park at 5:30 p.m. and be available for toursWrestling: House of Pain Wrestling Show at 3 p.m.Beach/Oldies/Variety Music: by DJ Mike Dunlap 3 to 7 p.m.Main Event Concert 7 to 9 p.m.: “AFTER AUGUST” an alternative rock band that has performed along side Bon Jovi and Little Big TownFireworks at dusk following the concert.

A good time for the whole family starts at 4 p.m. at Pack Square and College Street downtown. LAKE JULIAN PARK
Bring the kids, grandma, papaw and the rest of the family to see this year's spectacular fireworks display at Lake Julian Park. 96.5 WOXL is co-sponsoring the event with Buncombe County Parks & Recreation and will provide grand holiday music choreographed with the fireworks. This is guaranteed to be the best 4th of July celebration you'll see in Buncombe County!!Call the park office at 684-0376 to reserve a shelter for a day-long picnic or arrive early with a blanket to find the perfect viewing spot. Grilling, fishing and boating are just a few of the park activities.Shuttle transportation is provided. The show starts at approximately 9:30pm and you won't want to miss it!
GREENVILLE
AT&T's Red, White and Blue Festival kicks off at 5 p.m. on the 4th. There will be several different styles of music, including the Greenville Symphony Orchestra. They will play at 7:45 at the Dow Ampitheater. There will also be lots of food.Fireworks start at 9:30.----------Redemption World Outreach Center hosts "Freedom Fest" on July 4. The event has lots of rides for all ages, activities, entertainment and music. The church says at the end of the night they will have Greenville's biggest fireworks show. Freedom Fest kicks off at 3 p.m. It's free to get in and you can purchase ride bands at the gate for $12. The festival ends at 11 p.m.
MOUNTAIN REST
48th Annual Hillbilly Day9 a.m. to 3 p.m.Hillbilly Day grounds on S.C. 28, just north of S.C. 107, Mountain RestFreeOld-time crafts, great food, fantastic bluegrass music and wild, hillbilly fun are the norm at the annual Hillbilly Day celebration, sponsored by the Mountain Rest Community Club.
