A federal bankruptcy hearing has been set for a Greenville baby store that went belly-up in early June.

Customers of USA Baby on Pelham Road in Greenville County contacted FOX Carolina after they found the store closed and the doors locked when they went to pick up their recent purchases.

According to a letter taped to the front window of the store, the business filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy and customers who placed orders with the store will be contacted.

Kathy Barrett with the Better Business Bureau said Monday that a bankruptcy hearing has been set for July 14 at the federal courthouse in Spartanburg.

Barrett said the store’s owners have been very apologetic through the entire process. She said that they have sent letters to customers telling them to report the situation to their credit card companies.

One of the customers who contacted FOX Carolina when the store first closed said that they were able to get their money back for their purchases through their credit card company.
