A fire at a Simpsonville home was so hot it damaged neighboring houses, firefighters said.

The blaze started around 2 a.m. Tuesday at a home on Kinsmore Drive.

Firefighters said when they arrived everyone had escaped the home without injury.

Firefighters said flames were shooting from the roof, and they believed the fire started in the attic.

The fire was so hot, it melted the vinyl siding on neighboring houses.

The family who lived in the home is now searching for a new place to live.
