Fire Crews Battle Greenville Apartment Blaze

GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Fire crews battled a blaze at the Caledon Woods apartment complex near Pelham Road in Greenville on Tuesday.Fire officials said the blaze began as a brush fire in the back left corner of the apartment complex property. The fire then moved quickly through the siding of the building and spread into the attic, FOX Carolina News reported.Authorities said at least 12 units were damaged in the blaze with some completely destroyed. The families who's homes were affected are receiving assistance from the American Red Cross.One person was taken to the hospital with respiratory problems. Residents with pets were able to get in and rescue their animals.
