GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Investigators are hoping fingerprints from two cut-off hands will help them identify the person to whom they belong. On Monday, detectives with the Greenville Police Department said a woman called 911 after she found body parts in a bag on her front porch at the Andover Park Apartment Complex."It's scary to know that people can do something like that," said resident Calvin Little Jr., who said his neighbor told him about the discovery. "I told (the woman) that I didn't hear anything or see anybody go upstairs."Investigators with the coroner's office said a hand and foot were inside the bag.
Police said while investigating that call, they received another call about a second bag found at a vacant house at 113 Rose Ave."When I saw that bag, I just knew that something didn't seem right," said Andrea Young, who lives across the street from the empty house. Young said her dog, ShaCole, sniffed out the bag."I took her out for the morning like I always do and she went straight to the bag. That's when I called her to come back," Young said. Investigators with the coroner's office said a set of hands and a set of feet were found at both locations, so they believe the body parts belong to one person. They also said the toes of the feet had been cut off.Police said they're talking to people who live in both communities in order to gather some information. Detectives said both locations are connected to one family.
