The coroner said a Cowpens woman was killed and her toddler injured in a crash late Thursday night.

The crash happened around 10:30 p.m. on Green River Road.

The Spartanburg County said Ashley Johnson died when she lost control of her vehicle and it rolled onto its side.

Troopers said Johnson was not wearing her seat belt.

Troopers said Johnson’s 2-year-old son was also in the car when the crash happened. He was taken to Greenville Memorial Hospital. He was listed in serious condition.
