GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Police said a FBI agent who was vacationing in Greenville fired shots at two robbers who fired at a group the agent was with in downtown.The robbery happened at 320 S. Main St. at the Gunter Theater of the Peace Center around 9:30 p.m. Sunday.Police said the agent and two other people were standing under the awning of the Gunter Theater’s front entrance when they saw two men park a car across the street.Police said the two men ran over the group and pointed a gun at them. The robbers told the victims that if they did not give them their money they would be killed. They then fired a single shot into the ground.
The three people gave the bandits their cash, cell phones, wallets, purses, and an uncashed check.The FBI agent then drew his gun and fired at the robbers who ran away and jumped back into their car.Police asked anyone with information about the crime to call the Greenville Police Department.
