SIMPSONVILLE, S.C. -- Police said an early morning raid on a home in Simpsonville turns into a methamphetamine bust on Friday.The lab was found inside a home at 116 Shagbark Court in the Westwood community around 7:30 a.m.Police said they went to the home to serve search warrants. When they walked inside they found methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and a working methamphetamine lab in the kitchen. They said an 8-year-old boy also lived in the home.Police said 35-year-old Luke Freeman Hitt and 33-year-old Tracy Denise Hollingsworth were arrested. Both have been charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, manufacturing methamphetamine and unlawful exposure of a minor child to a methamphetamine or chemicals.
The boy was taken into protective custody by the Department of Social Services, police said.Hitt and Hollingsworth were being held at the Greenville County Detention Center.Investigators called in a clean up crew from Columbia to remove the methamphetamine lab.
