1 Killed When Argument Escalates To Shooting
Man Taken Into Custody

CLEVELAND, S.C. -- Deputies said a man is in custody after an argument that left one man dead and another injured Sunday night.William Garland, 50, of Cleveland, was charged with murder after the shooting at 210 Church Of God Circle.According to Ashley Bethell with the Greenville County Sheriff's Office, the incident began just after 8:30 p.m. when the Garland got into an argument with a neighbor and another person over a land dispute. Garland shot the neighbor in the chest, Bethell said. The man later died at Greenville Memorial Hospital, according to authorities.The Greenville County Coroner’s Office said the man who is died is 52 years old, but his name is not being released until the family was notified.
Garland is being held at the Greenville County Detention Center without bond.
