Firefighters said a fast-moving brush fire in the western part of Greenville County was contained.

The fire was located just off West Blueridge Drive near Berea on Sunday afternoon.

Fire crews from multiple districts all over the county were called in to help fight the fire.

Crews said the fire was moving toward the Westside Park and Aquatic Center, where there was a swimming competition underway. They said people were evacuated from the facility as a precaution.

Fire crews said between 10 and 15 acres were charred by the fire.

No one was injured in the fire.

The cause of the blaze was still under investigation.
