Traffic was moving again Friday morning after a train derailment shut down a Laurens County highway on Thursday afternoon.

The crash derailment happened near the intersection of Highway 76 and Highway 560 near the Newberry County line.

Officials said the train’s engine and three cars jumped the tracks. The engine spilled some fuel and caused a small grass fire near the scene. Troopers said no one was injured in the crash.

Officials shut down the road near the derailment while the train was put back on the tracks and the fuel spill cleaned up.
