GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Deputies said a burglary call turned into a standoff at a home on Wednesday morning.The incident happened 430 South Fairfield Rd. around 9 a.m.Deputies said they originally responded to the home in reference to a burglary call. They said when they arrived they found one man outside the home who had been shot in the leg.That man was taken to Greenville Memorial Hospital to be treated for his injuries.Master Deputy Michael Hildebrand, spokesman for the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office, said that a woman and 1-month-old baby were able to get out of the house before deputies arrived. Neither were injured.Hildebrand said at least two men were holed up inside the house and refusing orders to come outside.Deputies said several guns were also inside the home, but they were not sure who owned the guns.A SWAT team was called in to help with negotiations.Deputies said the standoff ended around 11:30 a.m. when the people who were inside the home escaped undetected.
