Police Investigate Shooting In Anderson County

One Person Hospitalized After Being Shot Outside Home

Anderson County deputies are investigating a shooting that happened just after 6 p.m. Friday outside a home on Bascomb Road in Iva.

Deputies said a car pulled into the driveway and two men jumped out and started firing a gun.

According to investigators, a woman was shot. She was rushed to a local hospital, they said.

Deputies said one of the men involved in the shooting fled the scene on foot, while the other jumped back in the car and drove away.

Anyone with information on the shooting was asked to contact the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office.
