Greenville County deputies said that a Taylors woman was charged Tuesday after she tried to hire a hit man to kill her husband.

Investigators said they were informed a few days ago that 47-year-old Vickie Walker was trying to figure out who she could hire to kill her husband.

An undercover operative was brought in and posed as the hit man, deputies said. They said Walker and the operative agreed upon an undisclosed amount of money to complete the task.

Walker was charged with solicitation to commit a felony and conspiracy to commit a felony. She was being held at the Greenville County Detention Center on no bond.

Anyone with information on this case is asked to call Greenville County Crime Stoppers at 23-CRIME.
