Stolen NC Ambulance Found In Greer

Ambulance Found At Mental Health Center

An ambulance that was stolen from a North Carolina fire department was found at a mental health center in Greer, police said.

The ambulance, which belongs to Mission Hospital in Asheville, was stolen from the Hot Springs Volunteer Fire Department on Monday morning.

Police said that the ambulance was found at the Greer Mental Health Center on Monday night.

Buncombe County deputies picked up the stolen ambulance from Greer police and had a minor accident while they were returning to North Carolina near the intersection of Highway 14 and Highway 29.

Officials said they have a name of the person believed to have stolen the ambulance, but would not release it.
