A Chesnee woman threatened the life of a Spartanburg County deputy and also threatened to burn down the deputy’s house, investigators said.

Deputies said they were called to 3308 Highway 11 at about 4:30 p.m. on Sunday about a disturbance at the home.

Investigators said that when deputies attempted to calm down the people involved in the argument, 25-year-old Juanita Nichols began yelling at one of the deputies. They said that was when Nichols reached into her purse, pulled out a pack of cigarettes and then threw the pack at the female deputy’s face.

According to an incident report, as the deputy tried to arrest Nichols, she kicked the deputy in the groin. The report said that the deputy then fired her Taser at Nichols, knocking her to the ground.

Deputies said that Nichols was eventually arrested and as she was being taken to a local hospital she said, “I will find out where you live and I will burn your house down. I’ll find you without that uniform on and I will kill your (expletive).”

Nichols was charged with resisting arrest with injury to an officer, threatening the life of a public official and assault and battery.
