Man Shot In Leg At Spartanburg Co. Fairgrounds

Gunfire Follows Fight, Police Say

Police said a man was shot in his leg after a fight at the Spartanburg County Fairgrounds on Monday night.

Police said that a group of people agreed to meet at the fairgrounds for a fight just before 11 p.m.

Investigators said that shortly after the fight started, someone pulled out a shotgun and started shooting.

The victim was picked up near the intersection of New Cut Road and Ridgecrest Avenue and then taken to the hospital, police said. They said he was expected to recover from his injuries.

Police asked anyone with information about the case to call Spartanburg County Crime Stoppers at 58-CRIME.
