Three people -- including an 8-year-old boy -- drowned at a home in Easley on Monday, fire department officials said.

The drownings happened at 307 Hamburg Road at 5 p.m..

Pickens County Coroner Kandy Kelley identified the victims as 37-year-old Arnulfo Tomas Franciso, 27-year-old Maria Nicholus Juan and 8-year-old Eric Sebastian.

Kelley said the victims were discovered at the bottom of an in-ground pool. She said all three victims were pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators said that they believe that Francisco and Juan jumped into the pool to save their drowning nephew. They said that none of the victims knew how to swim.

Autopsies have been scheduled for Tuesday, Kelley said. She said that foul play is not suspected in the deaths.
