Victim Dies Nearly Week After Being Shot

TOCCOA, Ga. -- Toccoa police are searching for the killer of a man who died nearly a week after he was shot in the head.According to police, 62-year-old Roger Hughes was shot in the head at his home on Aug. 29. They said that Hughes died last week at a local hospital.Investigators said that there were no signs of forced entry at his home. They said that so far there are no leads in the case.This is the first homicide investigation in Toccoa in more than seven years.Anyone with information on this case was asked to call Toccoa police at 706-886-8541
