Pendleton Man Killed In Motorcycle Crash

Man Was Not Wearing Helmet, Coroner Says

Troopers said that a Pendleton man was killed when he lost control of his motorcycle on Monday.

The crash happened on U.S. Highway 178 near the intersection with Old Sanders Road just before noon.

The Anderson County Coroner's Office said that 70-year-old Alford Lee traveled down an embankment and hit a sign. He said that Lee died from blunt force trauma to the head.

Lee was not wearing a helmet, the coroner's office said.
