Man, Woman Arrested After Manhunt

Deputies arrested a man and woman in connection with a carjacking in Pickens County on Sunday morning.

Pair Accused Of Carjacking Arrested

Investigators said that an employee at Sue's Restaurant in Pickens was carjacked at gunpoint early Sunday morning. They said that a few hours later, the car was spotted in Marietta by a Greenville County deputy.

Deputies said that the pair jumped out of the car and fled.

Investigators swarmed the area along Pumpkintown Road on Sunday afternoon and spent several hours searching for the pair. The manhunt was called off at about 3 p.m.

Deputies said that a few hours later the pair were spotted again around 7 p.m. and were arrested.

Sollmon Every, 31, was charged with armed robbery, grand larceny, petit larceny and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime. He was assigned a bond of $37,000.

Maria Morgan, 25, was charged with accessory before the fact of a felony. She was assigned a bond of $25,000.

Both were being held at the Greenville County Detention Center.

Deputies said that Every may also be connected to a carjacking at Jones Gap State Park on Saturday afternoon.
