CLINTON, S.C. -- Police said that a missing college student is safe after she called her parents on Wednesday morning.Director of Clinton Public Safety Stacy Drakeford said that 20-year-old Heather Isbell was last seen on Monday afternoon. He said that concern over her safety arose after she had not returned any phone calls and there had been no activity on her bank account.Drakeford said that Isbell called her parents at 6:50 a.m. Wednesday and said that she is safe and is returning to Presbyterian College, where she is a sophomore.The investigation into her nearly day-long disappearance is continuing, Drakeford said.Isbell is a graduate of Clinton High School and a tennis player at the college.The woman's parents were scheduled to talk to the media at 11 a.m. Wednesday, but that press conference was postponed.
