GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Greenville County deputies said that a Marietta man admitted to sexually abusing five children from 1982 to 1997.

Deputies said that 71-year-old John Speer showed up at the Greenville County Law Enforcement Center on Saturday night to report the abuse.

According to arrest warrants, Speer forced three girls and two boys to perform oral sex on him. The warrants also accuse Speer of performing oral sex on the children, some as young as four years old. Speer is also accused of forcing the children to have intercourse with him, according to the warrants.

Speer was being held at the Greenville County Detention Center on $250,000 bond.
