A student at Limestone College was killed in a crash early Monday morning, the Spartanburg County Coroner's Office said.

The crash happened at mile marker 36 on Interstate 26 westbound near Enoree at about 1:15 a.m.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol said that 18-year-old Landon Guglielmana, of Madera, Calif., was traveling westbound on I-26 when his car went into the median. They said he over-corrected and his car went off the right side of the road. They said that his car then overturned.

The coroner's office said that Guglielmana was pronounced dead at the scene at 2:38 a.m.

Troopers said that a female passenger in the car was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Both were wearing seat belts, troopers said.
