Greer Police it arrested 32-year-old David Israel Smith Christmas night in connection with a 2008 stabbing at 108 Irving St.

According to arrest warrants obtained by FOX Carolina, Smith is accused of breaking into the home at 3:30 a.m. on July 30, 2008, armed with two knives. Investigators said Smith stabbed Willie Kershaw three times, once in the chest, arm and head.

FOX Carolina talked to the home owner Jessica Peterson the day her fiance was stabbed. Peterson said Smith had stayed her at home, with one of her girlfriends, two nights before the stabbing.
