SPARTANBURG, S.C. -- Spartanburg police arrested a man on Monday in connection with a shooting on Sunday.Police said that 18-year-old Brandon Porter turned himself in to authorities after he was named as a suspect in the shooting.Investigators said that Porter shot a man twice, once in the leg and once in the hip, on West Wood Street on Sunday afternoon.The victim was taken to Spartanburg Regional Medical Center, where he was expected to recover from his injuries.Porter was charged with assault and battery with intent to kill. He was being held at the Spartanburg County Detention Center as of Tuesday morning.
