Seneca Woman Killed In Monday Morning Crash

Woman Was Thrown From Car, Coroner Says

The Oconee County Coroner's Office said that a woman was killed in a crash early Monday morning.

The crash happened on U.S. Highway 76, also known as Long Creek Highway.

Investigators said that Nicole Hartney was traveling down the highway when she ran off the edge of the road and over-corrected, which caused her to be thrown from her vehicle.

The coroner's office said that Hartney was pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause of the crash was still under investigation.
