Deputy Spotted Fire, Called For Help

A man was killed in a fire at a home in Gray Court on Sunday morning, firefighters said.

The fire happened at a home on Mahaffey Road.

Firefighters said that a Laurens County deputy spotted the blaze while patrolling the area early Sunday and called for help.

The Lauren County Coroner's Office identified the man as 46-year-old Thomas Mosley.

The cause of the fire was still being investigated.
