GREENVILLE, S.C. -- A man tried to kidnap a 15-year-old girl while she was walking home from school on Monday morning, Greenville County deputies said.The attempted kidnapping happened near the intersection of East Belvue Road and Weehawken Circle at about 9:30 a.m.According to an incident report, the girl had left Wade Hampton High School early on Monday because she was sick. The report said that as the girl was walking home, a vehicle parked beside her. It said that the driver opened the door and grabbed her left wrist.Investigators said that the girl was able to pull away from the man and suffered bruising to her wrist and scratches to her chest in the effort.The man was described as having a medium build with a thin mustache. He was wearing a black baseball cap, white T-shirt and blue jeans. He was last seen driving a red, 4-door Volvo.Anyone with information about this case was asked to call Greenville County Crime Stoppers at 23-CRIME.
