Escaped Spartanburg Inmate Arrested At Mother's Home
Fanklin Harris Went Missing At About 1:30 P.M. Monday

SPARTANBURG, S.C. -- Officials said that a prisoner who they said walked away from a minimum-security facility in Spartanburg on Monday afternoon was arrested Monday night.The South Carolina Department of Corrections said that 26-year-old Franklin Harris was reported missing from the Livesay Correctional Institution at about 1:30 p.m.Officials said that Harris was arrested at his mother's home in Union County at about 7:30 p.mHarris is serving an eight-year sentence for assault with intent to kill after a conviction in Union County. He has been in jail since March 3, 2009.Harris was charged with felony escape, which carries a sentence of up to 15 years in prison.
