Houston, TX (KOLD) - Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords has finished her second full day of rehab in Houston.  We've been hearing it a lot, but we're told she continues to make progress every day.

C.J. Karamargin told us on Sunday, "Today she underwent her second day of rehab, physical therapy, occupational therapy and I believe speech therapy as well."

Speaking to Gabby's communication director outside of the Houston hospital, he tells us the Congresswoman's therapy is aggressive but she's up for the challenge.

"The feeling is one of Gabby Giffords the fighter, the one that now has been embraced by Tucson as a fighter, she's showing that here."

During the therapy sessions, C.J. says Gabrielle's mom, her husband Mark Kelly and his parents are by her side.

"When you combine the support of family and strength with this aggressive rehab process it has all the making of the kind of movement Gabby would want," Karamargin said.

Congresswoman Giffords remains in the Memorial Herman Hospital Neuro ICU tonight.  Doctors say she's in the ICU because of a procedure she had done in Houston.  Starting tomorrow doctors will re-evaluate her condition to see if she is ready to be moved to the TIRR Rehab facility.

"They are so excited that they're actually coming here to do the regiment as much as they can in the ICU before she gets there."

Rehab facility or not, C.J. says the congresswoman continues to make great strides in her long road to recovery.

"Each day we're seeing positive signs.  Each day we're seeing new developments.  Each day we're seeing something truly amazing in her recovery.  Again, it's going to be a long road to recovery, when you sustain an injury like that to the brain, it's serious stuff," Karamargin explained.
