Suspect in crash that killed SCDOT worker arrested again
GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -
A woman charged with driving under the influence in connection with a crash that killed a Department of Transportation worker last month was arrested again and charged with the same crime Saturday, the Greenville County Sheriff's Office said.
Troopers said that on April 6, 29-year-old Misty Dawson was impaired when the vehicle she was driving slammed into the back of a SCDOT truck beneath the Interstate 85 overpass on Laurens Road, killing 60-year-old Noah Lark, of Taylors.
Lark was repairing the road at the time of the crash.
Dawson was charged with felony driving under the influence resulting in death in connection with the April crash.
Matt Armstrong, of the Greenville County Sheriff's Office, said Dawson was arrested again Saturday morning and charged with driving under the influence. He did not immediately provide specifics about the traffic stop or the arrest, but said he will release more information later.
Armstrong did say that Dawson had bonded out of jail.
Greenville police Sgt. Jason Rampey said Dawson was arrested again Monday afternoon and charged with violation of her bond on the first driving under the influence charge.
