Students ages nine and under who previously received their first H1N1 vaccination can get their second vaccination for full immunization beginning the first week of January at the same five elementary schools that hosted after-school clinics in November. Children ten and over only need one vaccination.
H1N1 vaccinations will also be available for students in 3K through fifth grade who have not received their first vaccination. Those children will need a second vaccination after a minimum of 28 days from the health department or their physician.
Parents of all students, whether receiving first or second vaccination, must complete a DHEC Vaccination Consent Form, which will be available at each after-school clinic. Parents must be present for their child to be vaccinated.
It is suggested that parents take their children to the same after-school clinic where they received their first vaccination since they are familiar with parking and procedures at that location. The complete schedule is listed below.

Dates for after-school vaccination clinics for middle and high school students will be announced in early January.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION After-school vaccination clinics are operated by SC DHEC and are scheduled pending adequate supply of H1N1 flu vaccine and available dates per SC DHECs scheduling of all Upstate school districts. Supply of H1N1 flu vaccine could be limited. After-school vaccination clinics are ONLY for younger students. Parents and other family members are NOT included. Parent/Guardian must be present for child to receive vaccination.
