GREER, S.C.Vision Airlines is offering $19 introductory fares this week ahead of its first flight out of the Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport on Friday.
In January, the airline announced that it would begin service from GSP to the Northwest Florida Regional Airport, which serves locations like Destin, Fort Walton Beach and Okaloosa Island.
To celebrate the new service, Vision is offering $19 one-way, introductory fares between Monday and Thursday for flights through May 21, 2011. On Friday, the fares increase to $89 each way.
"We believe this new service will be well received and very successful as the state of Florida is a popular destination for Upstate travelers," said GSP Executive Director Dave Edwards.
The airlines said it will use a 18-seat Boeing 737 aircraft for its flights out of GSP.
Vision is also set to begin service to Asheville, N.C., and Columbia in April.
