TAYLORS, S.C.On Monday, officials identified the two people found dead inside a burning Taylors duplex Sunday morning.
The fire happened about 10:30 a.m. at 204-A East Lee Road.
Taylors firefighters said they found the fire mostly in the kitchen area and then discovered the bodies. Chief Bobby Baker said the fire and the deaths appeared suspicious, so they called the Greenville County Sheriff's Office to investigate.
The Greenville County Coroner's Office identified the man as 30-year-old Christopher Porcoro, of Taylors. The woman was identified as 18-year-old Amber Daniel, of Greer.
Porcoro lived at the duplex, the coroner's office said. Family and friends called him outgoing and a wonderful man who would help anybody.
The causes of death were not released, but the coroner's office said the deaths are being investigated as homicides.
The cause of the fire was also under investigation.
Anyone with information about the fire or the deaths was asked to call Greenville County Crime Stoppers at 23-CRIME.
The Porcoro family was accepting donations at any BB&T bank in the Carolinas.
The Daniel family was accepting donations at the Woods Funeral Home on Poinsette Street in Greer.
