Woman Charged In Crash That Killed SCDOT Worker 4-06-2011

GREENVILLE, S.C.A Greenville woman was arrested Wednesday, accused of driving while impaired in connection with a crash that killed a South Carolina Department of Transportation worker.
The crash happened on Laurens Road beneath the Interstate 85 overpass at 9:49 a.m.
The coroner's office said 60-year-old Noah Lark, of Taylors, died from blunt force trauma he suffered in the crash.
Greenville police said 29-year-old Misty Dawson was exiting the interstate onto Laurens Road when she hit Lark, who was repairing the road.
Dawson was charged with felony driving under the influence resulting in death.
"We are praying for the family and are sorry for their loss," said Steve Gwinn, director of SCDOT's Greenville district.
Police shut down the ramp to northbound Laurens Road from Interstate 85 northbound during the investigation.
