ANDERSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The search for a Pendleton man who went missing ten days ago continued Thursday.

Officials said 75-year-old James Thomas suffers from dementia, schizophrenia and is recovering from pneumonia.

Last weekend, friends and family scoured his neighborhood on Long Road, but no clues to the man's location were found.

Anderson County deputies said they are hopeful Thomas will be found even though they do not have any new leads.

"Of course, we're going to remain positive in hopes that maybe he's just outside the viewing area of our local media," said Chad McBride, of the Anderson County Sheriff's Office. "So, we hope that we'll come across a lead that'll help us locate him."

Thomas was last seen wearing a black and white plaid shirt, blue jeans and brown hiking boots.

Anyone with information on Thomas's whereabouts was asked to call the Anderson County Sheriff's Office.
