SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -
The search continues for a missing Spartanburg Woman. Family, friends, and people from a Washington D.C. organization continued looking for 42-year-old Evelyn Shelton on Saturday morning.
Searchers found her wallet with her ID in a gutter at the corner of Edgewood Avenue and Pearl Streets. Her family tells Fox Carolina this is a new area that they searched Saturday. She was last seen May 20. Her car was later found on Hayne Street across from William's Bar and Grill.
This past week, Shelton's brother contacted the "Black and Missing Foundation," based in Washington D.C. The group came down to Spartanburg to do whatever they could to help find Shelton. Family members tell us they feel they made some progress.
If you have any information on Shelton's whereabouts, you're asked to call Spartanburg Public Safety.
